Rossia Meranda, who contributed greatly to expanding the areas of law in which the firm would practice. Rossia's expertise lies in Juvenile and Domestic Relations affairs, including, but not limited to Child Custody/Visitation, Divorce/Dissolution, and Delinquency cases. I began my legal career at the Washtenaw County Public Defender's Office. My passion for Criminal Defense grew with each moment as I witnessed a system that left me as the last line of defense. This is a responsibility that I take very seriously. My time as a Public Defender allowed me to gain experience essential to the practice of Criminal Law.
My career path then took me to Crabbe, Brown & James, LLP, in downtown Columbus, Ohio. This experience required extensive research and writing on complex legal issues. At Crabbe, Brown & James, LLP, I honed two very important legal skills. First, this position polished my writing skills to ensure that I mastered one of the single most valuable skills an attorney possesses: the ability to write persuasively. Secondly, I learned that in order to be a successful attorney you need to pay close attention to detail. Mastering this skill has enabled me to reach winning verdicts for my clients.
In pursuit to gain as much experience and legal knowledge as possible early in my career, I began working for Scotts Miracle-Gro Company as a contract lawyer. At Scotts, I assisted in all facets of Federal EPA investigations and audits of pesticide products manufactured and sold by an $8 billion dollar consumer products company. I was directly involved in reviewing and analyzing information related to pesticide registration.
After longing to have more personal relationships with clients, I decided to start The Meranda Law Firm LTD. The two biggest areas of law that I thought directly impacted people's lives were Criminal Defense and Domestic Relations. Therefore, I began a firm dedicated to zealous representation in these two areas of law. Now, with two other passionate attorneys working at my firm, clients can rest assured that their legal concern is handled by lawyers committed to getting what the clients want. The Meranda Law Firm LTD is always available for our clients 24/7.

Prior to opening the Meranda Law Firm with my Husband, Zachuary Meranda, I received extensive experience with an outstanding government agency and extremely reputable private law firm. At the Washtenaw County Public Defender's Office, I represented and counseled numerous indigent defendants accused of criminal offenses. I gained a respect for the endless frustration and constant anxiety that individuals charged with a criminal offense must endure as they navigate through our criminal justice system.
To balance this experience, I also worked for the City of Circleville as an Assistant Prosecutor. As a prosecutor, I got a well-rounded understanding of the criminal system and what it takes to be an effective advocate for my clients now.
With aspirations of expanding my legal career, I also worked with Crabb, Brown, and James, LLP. In this civil firm, I gained experience through extensive involvement in complex litigation. Drafting complex motions and assisting top level attorneys in all aspects of trial preparation, I received incomparable knowledge of the most difficult cases to handle.
After working in a large firm environment, I began working for a smaller firm, Seimer & Associates, to have a more hands-on approach with clients. Here, I found my true calling, as I handled the entire Juvenile and Domestic caseload for the firm. While working with struggling families and troublesome children, my passion for developing in this area to better assist these individuals grew. It is this particular area of law that I focus on in our firm today.
Now that I started the Meranda Law Firm with my husband, I can devote 100% of my time to each and every one of my clients. It is the focus on our clients and the personal interest we take in the outcome of all our clients' cases that separates our firm from the rest.

As well as graduating at the top of my class, I was awarded the Leadership Achievement Award and the Moot Court Service Award. This experience through law school has set a solid foundation to provide superior legal representation for my clients.
As a professional, I have worked at the Office of the Ohio Attorney General assisting in the defense of this state against any complex civil claim brought against it.
