Teen Charged with OVI & Felony Possession Of Prescription Drugs - Case Dismissed

In many instances, especially with prescription drugs, defense attorneys are noticing an increase in teen offenders. Often times, these teens come from good homes with active parents. A young teen and her mother was seeking representation in regards to a very serious Possession case, as well as an OVI. Although factually it was not a good case, there were a number of mitigating factors that needed to be explored. It was these mitigating factors discovered and argued by her counsel that led to the prosecution offering hold-open case. This allows the teen to show they have improved their behavior and have rid themselves of a life-threatening habit. The teen excelled and the case was subsequently dismissed. She will never have to worry about this issue affecting her future.
